The sound is originally 40 seconds long but looped, as the play requires the sound fx to be present throughout a number of scenes fading in and out. I was just messing around in audacity, doing some things with a party noise maker sound effect, i slowed it down, put some reverb & echo, messed with the pitch a little bit, and got this! it's supposed to be kinda like "trumpets in the sky" and/or war of the worlds inspired.
